How to DIY Santa Ornaments

Let’s dive into the creative process! Transform those plain egg cartons into beautiful Christmas decorations that will add a festive touch to your home.

1.To create the Santa ornament, start by taking an egg carton and carefully cutting out a pyramidal shape to form the hat. If necessary, trim the bottom edge to ensure it looks neat and tidy.

2. Next, cut a length of string, fold it in half, and tie a knot to secure both ends together. Apply some glue to the tip of the cardboard hat and attach the string loop, ensuring it is firmly in place.

3. Now, grab some red yarn and coat the cardboard with white glue, wrapping the yarn around from the tip downwards.

4. Before you reach the edge, cut the yarn and finish off the hat by wrapping white yarn around the bottom edge.

5. Glue a mini pom-pom on top of the hat.

6. For Santa’s beard, take a cotton pad and cut it into two pieces, making one larger than the other. The larger piece will serve as the beard.

7. Trim the smaller piece into a charming mustache shape.

8. Apply glue inside of the hat and attach the larger cotton pad for the beard.

9. To create Santa’s nose, glue a bead over the pad, positioned next to the edge of the hat.

10. Finally, secure the mustache beneath the nose with a bit of glue.

Feel free to make as many Santa ornaments as you desire, and hang them proudly on your Christmas tree for a festive display!
