I get so many questions on the daily about our pool house. Pools and Pool Houses have become so popular since the days of the pandemic as more people are investing in their homes and long for a retreat to lounge and spend time with family and friends.
Not to mention the insane price of homes and mortgage interest rates today! It’s no wonder people are putting money toward their present house instead of a new one. I mean, it’s hard to give up a 2% interest rate in exchange for over 6%! But let’s be honest, 6% is still low compared to the years of double digit interest rates…for those of us who remember them days! 😉 But for new home buyers, it’s a shock and ones who were lucky enough to get that insane rate…not going anywhere anytime soon!
The pandemic changed all of our lives in so many ways…good and bad, positives and negatives but one thing remains certain…home ownership is still very much a desire for most people.
During the pandemic, I took on the extraordinary job of building a pool and pool house in our yard. It was a dream for so many years and finally it was going to be a reality. But the road would be long, filled with frustration, extra expenses not anticipated and stress. Was it worth it? In the end we had a gorgeous elegant retreat that I created and managed! I mean…it’s crazy to think back on the hours spent on this massive project. We had 15 sub contractors and dozens of people in and out of our yard for 2 years.

I thought it would be fun to take you through the process from start to finish on how this project came to light.
